Darla Carone is a graduate of Lake High School and the Akron School of Practical Nursing. She and her husband, Thomas, have two adult daughters and live in the Akron area. With more than twenty years experience in the medical profession, Darla worked as an Intensive Care Certified nurse in the Progressive Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit, a Medical Information Systems Administrator and Director of Clinical Services for a multi-facility medical practice. She has served in multiple volunteer positions for non-profit organizations including St Vincent Elementary School, St Vincent-St Mary High School, Hope on the Slopes, and Rubber City Kennel Club. Darla is committed to educating and bringing awareness to the opioid addiction epidemic facing our society today through the efforts of Breaking Barriers -Hope is Alive. |
