Breaking the Stigma of Addiction - Building Hope
| The executive board of Breaking Barriers - Hope Is Alive has adopted the following as their Mission Statement, Vision, and Core Values: . Mission Statement To change the stigma of Drug Addiction: We do this by training, educating and bringing awareness to our neighbors, families and friends in our Communities, Cities, State and Nation that Addiction is a "Disease" and not Moral Failure. Vision That people and their families who are struggling with the Disease of Addiction know that they can get help and support just like anyone who has cancer, diabetes and heart disease. Core Values We believe that Hope Is Alive through our faith in Jesus Christ. We believe that we are all equal and loved in the the eyes of Jesus. We believe that every life matters and no one should die to any disease because of the lack of proper treatment or facilities. We believe that there is no shame or embarrassment acknowledging that you have a disease. We believe in honesty, integrity, community, hope and love. We believe that everyone who seeks to restore and find recovery deserves at least "One More Chance" to recover. |
